Is Ghana a Bad Country?
Foreigners often ponder over one or two questions when visiting West African popular nation Ghana: Is Ghana a bad country? And how safe is Accra Ghana?
Well, the majority of trips to Ghana are trouble free, however some criminal activities do occur and these can range from incidents of petty crime to violent crimes and accidents. For example, and amid the hardship posed by the coronavrius pandemic, there has been an increase in armed robbery, prostitution, burglary and serious assault, and such attacks can include the use of deadly weapons.
So, Is Ghana safe for white tourists?
For the most part,Ghana is a relatively stable democratic country in West Africa. Gh is a gem in a region where peace, stability and low crime rates are not very common. … White tourists (visitors) are advised to avoid walking alone at night, since Ghana is not a safe country for travelers at night. Foreigners, even during the daytime, are often the target of thieves.
Foreign visitors are promoting Ghana country to the world… while there may be a few bad guys in Ghana, there are also very hospital people and a safe places to tour. GH locals are known for their unmatched hospitality.
It’s time to let the world know Ghana is safe and beautiful. There some very nice beaches in Western region of Ghana and also in Volta region. Accra beaches are not the best though.
We are so blessed to have a such a great country like Ghana!
Talking about hospitality, freedom, security Ghana is best and I’m so so proud to be a Ghanaian.
Accra Ghana is one of the most talked-about places on the planet right now.
You gotta appreciate the culture’s lax approach to timings. People stop and do things on the way and see friends and will stop and chat. They don’t do it because they don’t respect you but because that is just their way of life. I remember being in a bar with my local friend and a guy on his way to perform errands saw us and he stopped and had a drink and a chat for 30 mins with us. So he definitely took a while to get to his original destination.
I just came back from my first trip to Accra it won’t be my last (trying to figure out if I’m going to move out there – seriously). Loved it. I was there for 11 days never spent more than $100 / night. Nothing is as fancy as what I have seen in Gh. In other places like America, you would have expected to spend $500 / night in California and maybe $250-$300 in AZ. Also, got some amazing custom cloths made for me for about $40.00 / outfit. Just want to let you know that if you love adventure, you can still have an amazing time in Ghana.

I’m a British Nigerian who visited Ghana alone for the first time in 2014. I stayed there for 1 month, volunteering and travelling to different parts of the country such as Kumasi, Accra, Bolgatanga, Northern region and Cape Coast which is one of my favorite places ever! I simply fell in love with the people and the peaceful atmosphere the place radiates. When I went, Ghana wasn’t as trendy as it is now but I’m so happy the country is receiving the recognition it deserves. As a proud Nigerian, I’ve always said I can Live in Ghana but not Nigeria (just my opinion!) but we’ll see where life takes me.

Amazing!! My late husband artist Joseph Beckles fell in love with Ghana while on an artist summit. He wanted us to move there. Many years later….yes, I want to visit and make a decision about relocating. We are Jamaican and the people of Ghana 🇬🇭 embraces Jamaicans. The USA is becoming a frightening place for lack people. I would love to bring my husband’s final sculptures for purchase in Ghana. He has several sculptures in Senegal at the now government owned Museé Bori Bana!

According to Billboard.com, in 2014, Vybz Kartel was sentenced to life in prison after being convicted of the 2011 murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams. The Jamaican dancehall star has now won an appeal of his conviction due to juror misconduct in the original trial, Reuters reports. A Jamaican appeals court will now decide whether the musician and his co-defendants will again stand trial.
The trial of Vybz Kartel and his co-defendants lasted 64 days and was one of the longest in Jamaican history. During the trial, one juror allegedly tried to bribe other jurors to return not-guilty verdicts, but the alleged briber was not dismissed from the case.
