Why Ghana Musicians Don’t Win Grammys While Nigeria Burna Boy Wins Grammy

Published

on

In West Africa, Ghana is well-known for having numerous music talents, but many of them are not internationally acclaimed like Nigerian artists. Here is Why Ghana Musicians Don’t Win Grammys, meanwhile Nigeria Burna won a Grammy in 2021.

Ghanaians in Ghana would never support Ghanian artists if they don’t make good music based on Ghanian culture.

Nigerian musicians have proved to be the best in Africa when it comes to the music industry.

It’s not about population. It’s about good music and “Africaness’ . Jamaica is a small country but they rock the world with reggae music. It’s about hard work and togetherness.

It’s about hard work and good music. If you don’t identify your style of music, the Ghanian people won’t vote for you even if you’re a Ghanaian artist, instead they’ll vote and support Nigerian musicians because of the fact that the Nigerian musicians are giving them what they want to enjoy.

In Jamaica, most people prefer Nigerian music more than what they have there. Not only in Jamaica , but the entire Caribbean.

You cannot force the consumers to accept what’s not good for them. Ghanaian artists have to do African music and not imitate Jamaican dance hall .

Ghana should advance Highlife music to the next level.

Music is all about good content and not population. Your people can only support you when you give them good music and sounds based on African style.

Ghana music vs Nigeria music vs Jamaica

Ghanaian dancehall musicians are copying their Jamaican counterparts by incorporating patois into their music. However, that’s what they believe will take them far. On music quality, some Ghanaian artists aren’t bad, but there is growing disunity. So the whole industry is torn apart, which makes it difficult for the few good artists to shine globally.

According to Rocky Point, Ghanaian artists can never be as perfect as Jamaicans when it comes to Jamaican style. Shatta Wale can do dancehall but it’s better if he does it completely African. Nigerians are doing it Nigerian style and they are acknowledged and loved.

In fact, Nigeria music is taking over Caribbean islands. “We love them because they make us feel proud of our roots. Nigerian musicians are on a higher level when it comes to the music industry. Jamaican artists have lost our support. We’re focusing on Nigerian musicians”, Rocky explained why Nigerian music is more popular worldwide than Ghana

Shatta Wale was probably mad at the fact that his collaboration with Beyonce didn’t win a Grammy, but Wizkid’s own did. Apparently, if Shatta had won a Grammy, he would have been bragging unceasingly.

AMG Medikal is said to be unhappy with treatment meted out to nonsense blogger Bongo Ideas, as the latter was allegedly arrested for allegedly making some comments on social media.

Rapper Medikal has expressed his disapproval of the alleged mistreatment of Bongo, a controversial figure known for his contentious behavior on social media platforms. Despite acknowledging Bongo’s history of insensitive interactions, Medikal stressed that such conduct should not warrant subjecting him to inhumane treatment.

However, comedian DKB appeared to hold a contrasting viewpoint, suggesting that Bongo deserved the reported mistreatment due to his past behavior. DKB cited instances of Bongo’s insensitive comments, such as blaming Davido for the death of his son, insulting someone’s wife on their wedding day, and intruding into celebrities’ private affairs.

In response, Medikal argued that regardless of Bongo’s actions, his rights should not have been violated. He asserted that while Bongo may have crossed boundaries and offended many individuals, including himself, he still deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.

The controversy surrounding Bongo intensified when reports emerged of his arrest by the police over provocative posts on social media. His post made some references to President Akufo-Addo’s marriage to First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo. After pointing out that Mr Akufo-Addo married Rebecca following the death of her husband, who happened to be Akufo-Addo’s friend, Bongo Ideas surmised that, the first gentleman of Ghana married Rebecca as a trophy wife, since she has not had any children for the Mr Akufo-Addo.

Although Bongo’s sister confirmed that he did not sustain physical harm, concerns lingered regarding the possibility of him experiencing torture, which may have led to a noticeable change in his demeanor.

In essence, Medikal’s stance underscores the importance of upholding human rights and treating individuals with decency and fairness, regardless of their past behavior. While condemning Bongo’s actions, Medikal advocates for a humane approach to address the situation, emphasizing the need to ensure Bongo’s safety and well-being.

WWE wrestling legend John Cena shocks Oscars audience by appearing to present an award

Cena made a slight change, which made almost no difference.

The “you-can’t-see me” star made a memorable appearance at the Oscars, taking humor to the next level by seemingly appearing wild on stage during the ceremony. His entrance to present the award for best costume design was a comedic highlight of the event. The host, who was taken aback by John Cena’s act, made reference to a 1974 event, resulting in Cena making a slight change.

John cena dated former WWE champion Niki Bella of the Bella Twins fame for some time before the pair went their separate ways.

Jimmy Kimmel, the host, initiated the gag by referencing a historical Oscars moment from 1974 when a streaker interrupted the show. Cena, from the corner of the stage, engaged in banter with Kimmel, expressing his reluctance to partake in the streaker act, citing the event’s elegance. He humorously defended the dignity of the male body, contrasting it with his WWE persona, where he wrestles in “jorts.”

With an oversized envelope strategically placed, Cena walked to the center stage, appearing almost entirely ready, much to the shock and amusement of the audience. Despite the initial illusion, it was later revealed that Cena was covered in crucial areas, and the envelope was affixed to him for safety and to prevent any potential FCC violations.

As Cena presented the award for best costume design, he ironically emphasized the importance of costumes in filmmaking. Kimmel, joining in on the fun, draped a curtain around Cena, providing some modesty.

Cena’s comedic stunt injected a lighthearted moment into the prestigious event, showcasing his willingness to engage in self-deprecating humor while also highlighting the importance of costume design in film.
