Breaking News: Ole Gunnar Reacts to Rangnick Struggles with United Players. Sacked Norwegian coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given a response when asked why he didn’t expose terrible Man Utd players.
According to the Express, Manchester United legend Gunnar Solskjaer produced a modest response when asked by staff why he didn’t ‘expose’ the terrible players who let him down. The Norwegian was axed in November less than 24 hours after a dire 4-1 defeat to Watford. Yet while Ralf Rangnick has since taken over, the club remain in crisis.
The Daily Mail revealed that some Man Utd staff members asked Solskjaer why he didn’t ‘expose’ the players who let him down.
However, the Norwegian would rarely criticize his players in public, preferring instead to vent his feelings in private, in stark contrast to predecessor Mourinho.
Solskjaer is said to have merely produced a ‘rueful smile’ and ‘shrugged his shoulders’ when the matter was put to him.

Yet many of the same problems the club were suffering from under the 48-year-old remain, with Rangnick having a rocky start to his own era.
Hopes were high the 63-year-old would turn the situation at United around, especially given his fine work at RB Leipzig, Hoffenheim and Schalke in the past.
Van de Beek’s fate remains bleak under Rangnick
Ralf Rangnick is reportedly coming to the same conclusion as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer over Manchester United star Donny van de Beek in training.
Van de Beek has not started a Premier League game this season and is looking for a move away in January in order to stake a claim for a spot in the Netherlands squad for the World Cup in Qatar.
The Athletic report that ‘these players have influence over the general mood’ at the Carrington training ground.
And it’s in training that Rangnick, according to sources from The Athletic, has seen all he needs to of Van de Beek.
The German boss believes the midfielder is ‘ill-suited to the rigours of the Premier League’ as he ‘struggles to cover ground’.
United signed Van de Beek for £35million in the summer of 2020, when they also signed Amad Diallo and Facundo Pellistri.
Pellistri is currently on loan at Alaves, while Amad has been told by Rangnick he is not in his plans this season having made just one first-team appearance – the Champions League dead rubber against Young Boys.
The report claims that Solskjaer wanted to spend the £80million outlay on that trio on Jack Grealish at the time and a recruitment source also considered how Manchester City – who ended up signing Grealish – have shown Ferran Torres, Sergio Aguero and David Silva the door in recent years.
The source said: “Manchester City are letting go of genuine first-team players. United keep hold of players who haven’t featured for two years.”

Sancho should go somewhere else. He was absolutely fantastic in BVB and I am sure the kid is world class talent in the same league as Foden and Saka. And it was not like he needed to be on a great team or a specific system to work. BVB struggled a lot with consistency the time he was there.
